Invisalign/Invisalign Teen
The innovative and popular Invisalign System consists of a series of translucent, removable aligners which gradually move teeth step-by-step. Because the aligners are clear, most people don't even notice when you're wearing Invisalign. And since the aligners are removable, they are to be taken out when eating and when brushing & flossing the teeth. This means there are no food restrictions. Nor are there any problems maintaining good oral hygiene as you simply remove the aligners to brush and floss your teeth and then put them back in when done.
Clear Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are similar to metal braces with a couple of clear differences. Instead of being made from stainless steel, the brackets on these braces are made from a clear, ceramic material. This makes these braces hard to detect as the transparency of the brackets blend in with the natural color of the teeth. There are a couple of drawbacks to ceramic braces. For one, ceramic braces can be less durable than metal braces. Secondly, the elastics used with these braces can become stained. However, typically the elastic bands are changed at adjustment appointments to minimize discoloration.
